According to the Announcement of the State Administration for Market Regulation on the Implementation of Compulsory Product Certification Management for Commercial Gas Combustion Appliances and Other Products, the State Administration for Market Regulation has decided to implement mandatory product certification (i.e. CCC certification) management for commercial gas combustion appliances and other products.
The requirements for explosion-proof lighting fixtures and control devices in this announcement are as follows:
1. Starting from May 1, 2025, explosion-proof lamps and control devices listed in the CCC certification catalog must undergo CCC certification and be marked with the CCC certification mark before they can be manufactured, sold, imported, or used in other business activities;
2. Starting from May 1, 2024, designated certification agencies will begin accepting CCC certification commissions, and the certification and testing work involved will be undertaken by certification agencies and laboratories that already have designated explosion-proof electrical services.
